Thank you for your interest. NBAA is holding tournaments all over the US and has just included Texas this year. As Regional Director for the Southern US, I would like to include Mexico in our divisions. We will start with El Cuchillo. Last week I met with Sr Enrique Caraza from Vida Silvestre De Nuevo Leon, Sr Rodolfo Ibarra from Hoteles Milenium and Sr Jose Salmeron from Hacienda Don Carlos. We came to an agreement to begin holding tournaments at El Cuchillo very soon. We would like to start in December but I don't know if it is enough time to get the word out. If not we will start in January. My goal is to get new members from Mexico qualified to go to both of our Classics next spring. There is no fee to fish in the Classic, the only way to fish it is to qualify through one of our divisions. Top prize at the CIassic is a fully rigged Skeeter bass boat. Also one boat in every five will win cash.In order to do that we must hold 5 tournaments. At each tournament anglers win cash (again, one in five win cash) and earn Classic points. The top 25% of the total number of different anglers that compete during the 5 tournaments will go to both Classics. If you do not qualify for the Classic you will have one more chance to qualify. As long as you have fished at least 3 of the 5 tournaments, you will have one chance to qualify on March 25 at Falcon Lake in the regional qualifier. The Texas Classic will be at Cooper Lake in April and the National Classic will be at Kentucky/Barklay Lake in Paducah Kentucky in early May. Please view our website at www.nbaa-bass.com then refer ALL questions to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED].The entry fees will be $150 per team and top prize will vary with the number of entries but average for 100 teams is $3000.00 with the prizes paying 20 places. With more anglers it will be larger. A team can be one or two persons.Thank you again, I look forward to hearing from you.
