Scope : This standard method is applied to the determination of the total amine value of amines by potentiometric titration with perchloric acid. Method (preparation and prosedure) : Bisa dilihat di ASTM D 2896. 2. Potentiometric Method. Definition : The total amine is the amount of hydrochloric acid required to neutralize the total quantity pf primary, secondary, and tertiary amine, i.e. total amine, contained in 1 g of the sample, and is expressed as the number in mg of equivalent potassium hydroxide. Scope : This standard method is applied to the determination of the total amine value of products containing amine functional groups (ex. Fatty amine).
