JOIN THE WORLD'S FIRST TRULY COMMERCIAL GAS-TO-LIQUIDS (GTL) VENTURE
AT RAS LAFFAN IN THE STATE OF QATAR
Oryx GTL is a newly formed joint venture between Sasol and Qatar
Petroleum leading the start of a new global Gas-toliquids industry from
the State of Qatar situated in the Persian Gulf The Plant will be
commissioned by an EPC Contractor by December 2005 for a produ tion
capacity of 34,000 bpd to be expanded i the future.
Qualified applicants with excellent English language communication
skills (speak, read, and write) who are computer literate are invited
to apply. A current driver's license is also required. All Technician
vacancies require a Diploma or Degree in their respective area of
specialization and a minimum of 8-10 years hands-on experience in
preventive, Corrective and Shutdown Maintenance.
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISORS (STATIC EQUIPMENT)
Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred although HND/B.Tech will be
considered an alternative. 6-8 years similar experience in a
Petrochemical environment is essential.Experience of GTL technology is
a bonus. Experience with pressure vessels and piping. Ensures the
integrity of static equipment throughout all process areas. Knowledge
of SHERQ best practices is also required as is knowledge of a CMMS,
preferably SAP.
INTEGRATED QUALITY SPECIALIST
Bachelor Degree or similar qualification, recognized certification in
Quality/Reliability management systems including training as a
management systems Auditor. 6 years relevant experience in
maintaining/developing quality management systems including 4 years in
an industrial operating arena as well as experience working with HSE
Management Systems and the scheduling/training for corporate audits,
Other responsibilities are. Lead the development of Quality Management
Systems and the integration of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 to
certification standard.This includes implementation of integrated
SHERD/SAP systems; coordinate internal/external audits and auditors;
training of internal auditors;and maintaining Oryx GTL certification by
establishing systems for compliance monitoring, procedure evaluation
and making recommendation for continuous improvement.
CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Technical Diploma or Degree in Control Systems/Industrial
Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering, Training and certification
in Foxboro DCS and Triconix PLC systems or other relevant DCS or ESD
systems. A Minimum of 5 years petrochemical experience including 4
years in the following systems; DCS, ESD, Anti-surge,compressor
control, Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring. Responsibilities include;
developing reliability systems and the optimization of control loops;
fault finding on problem areas; ensuring system integration is
maintained to the required high level and training peers and
subordinates in all systems in your field of control.
SERVICE AND MATERIALS COORDINATORS
Bachelor Degree in Management or Legal studies with an Engineering
background as an added bonus.7.10 years in a senior position in an
established contracts/support department in the Oil/Gds/Petrochemical
environment, Position is responsible for the contracts and services
required by the maintenance department and requires hands-on experience
in the preparation, submission and evaluation of maintenance contracts
with specific knowledge and experience of; contract strategy; tenders
and tendering; scope of work; pricing schedules; payment methods; bid
evaluations and reports; and tender committees.
LABORATORY CHEMISTS
Bachelor degree is required, Masters Degree preferred. The successful
candidates should have 7 years relevant experience in a Laboratory
functioning in various levels and capacities including 5 years in a
Refinery environment.Your experience should also include developing
analytical procedures for sample analysis and the set-up, calibration
and maintenance of all types of Laboratory equipment. Experience in the
apptcation of LIMS is also required. You will also develop training
programs for laboratory personnel to support the initial commissioning,
start-up and permanent operation; develop policies and procedures for
Laboratory operations; and manage the Laboratory purchasing, inventory
control and waste disposal functions.
LABORATORY TECHNICIANS
Science Diploma (minimum requirement) although BSc. Preferred. Your
experience should include a minimum of 7 years in a similar role of
which 4 years should be in a Refinery environment.You should also have
experience of standard analytical procedures and laboratory standards
such as ASTM, UOP, and/or IP for sample analysis. Your responsibilities
will include the implementation of analytical procedures to
international standards and Licensor agreements; performing daily and
ad-hoc analyses on a 24 hour shift basis; analysis of
intermediate/final solid/liquid/gas hydrocarbon products such as gas,
recycle gas, wax, diesel, naphtha, LPG and water; equipment testing,
calibration and maintenance and utilizing the LMS system to
guide the lab processes.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS
Experience in Synchronous machines, Power and distribution
transformers, Variable speed drives, HV/LV switchgears, UPS and Battery
chargers. Working knowledge in PLCs and micro processor based
protection relays will be an added bonus.
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIANS
Experience of; flow/level/pressure/temperature transmitters;
Fisher-Rosemount Smart version transmitters and Masoneilan/Fisher smart
positioners Experience in control valves (Masoneilan,Fisher, Metso),
on/off valves and solenoid operated valves as well as troubleshooting
various types of switches, regulators, filters, pneumatic field
devices, ESD/DCS and Machine monitoring systems and control.
ANALYZER TECHNICIANS
Experience of Wobbe Gas chromatographs, Oxygen, Cot, Sodium analyzers,
PH transmitters,TOC analyzers, Density analyzer, sulphur analyzer.
MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS (STATIC EQUIPMENT)
Experience of Reactors, Atalytic Reformers, Furnaces, Fired Heaters,
Heat Exchangers, HP Vessels/Drums, Pressure Relieving Devices, Storage
Tanks, Piping Components (Valves, Supports, Special Components), HPIMP
Steam Boilers, Steam System, Wa ter Treatment Plants, Fin Fan Coolers,
Cooling Towers, Industrial Waste Water Treat rneat Plants, Fire
Fighting systems.
MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS (ROTATING EQUIPMENT)
Experience of Centrifugal Pumps, HP Centrifugal Compressors
(Multistage, Centrifugal Blowers/Fans, various Steam Turbines,
Gear/Metering pumps, Reciprocating Compressors, Cooling Tower Fans,
Shaft Alignment, Mechanical/Gas seal assembly.
