http://www.gap-system.org/Manuals/pkg/pargap/htm/CHAP004.htm shows the call of ParInstallTOPCGlobalFunction which then may be called with two arguments. If this is what you've tried, what are they? Does the built-in ParList from ParGAP work : ParList([1..100], x->x^2); on your machine?
