Hi, Great program. Found a bug. When searching in a SQL database file, the program will suddenly generate error message ERROR - ERROR IN SEARCH EXPRESSION, even though nothing has changed, and the program had previously found several instances of the search expression.
The file that I am using is a very small SQL file, only 700K. It from a Wordpress blog that I use only for testing purposes. The bug is in both 2006 version and newest 2007 released version of Pspad. At first I searched for '?' (without quotes, just a question mark). It was finding fine, then got error message after several finds. Then I searched for more regular terms, such as 'comments', and the program balked after find two or three instances. When the Error occurs, you can cancel the Error dialog box, but then when the FIND dialog box is there, you cannot "cancel" out of this FIND dialog box, but choosing the "X" on the dialog box does work to close the Find box. Subsequent searches also cause the ERROR message to occur. This is the only bug/problem that I have ever encountered with Pspad. Maybe if you have a small SQL file you can try it for yourself. I would send you mine, but all Wordpress SQL database files have some private info, and without being able to search and replace, I cannot purge the file of private info. Best regards, and compliments on a 5-Star program. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,47309,47309> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
