This seems like a bug in the XHTML/PHP multi highlighter. If a PHP close tag (?>) appears within a string, it should not end the PHP highlighting and start XHTML highlighting.
So, while switching to pure PHP highlighting is a work-around for this problem, it's not actually a proper fix, especially when you're coding a mixed XHTML/PHP file. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,51853,52866> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
