Dear PSPad,

I think you should change the command structure in your program so that all
commands that communicate to the controller are available in the macro language,
even as generic serial-number or ID stamps when you didn't have time to make a
standard name for the command.

Anything that is accessible from the menu or available as a command using the
keyboard or other inputs should have a way to be communicated to the controller
using the macro language.

I need a powerful editor with a self-contained macro language that covers all
aspects of the editor's abilities, that isn't strange in the control scheme or
interface (for example, I can't use VI, it's too unusual) and ultimately works
in console mode.

I know I sent you a message a few years ago about a possible text-mode / console
mode, and you were right, it would be too difficult to program all the menus and
other things in a way that translates sensibly in textmode. But it is always a
possibility.

Anyways I need to use PSPad as my IDE, and I have to have a macro that is going
to do everything I need for debugging.

Another great thing to add to your macro language would be variables and
recursion. If you ever want a model of a great self-contained macro language
that could be used as a functioning programming language, check out the old DOS
modem terminal program, {COMMO}. The macro language there is absolutely amazing.
And another editor from DOS, Semware TheEditor (also known as QEdit) had a
powerful macro language as well.
