This was related to the JScript error problem described in the thread http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,50046
How I finally got rid of it was to uninstall (again!!), then to install the earlier version (PSPad 4.2.5) and then re-download the most recent version. This worked. The earlier version didn't know about my previously loaded files but when I reinstalled and opened the most recent version, it STILL knew about my previously open files. PSPad clearly leaves traces on your system that it is impossible to remove. I sure don't like this about it!! In any event, I did finally get rid of the error message but what a hassle!!3-[3-[ I get the impression that this software is starting to lag in terms of maintainability so I'll be looking for a replacement -- too bad.:-( -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,54903,54910> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
