All I have to do is turn on tabs, open new file, and insert a tab character. Then paste some text at the end of the line. I see the cursor move a number of characters past the end of the text that was pasted. The more tabs at the beginning of the line, the more spaces are added after the pasted text. If I turn off Trim Trailing Spaces, then it works as expected. Thanks, chuck
