I'm using version PsPad Editor 4.5.7(2433) I have a feature request according to topic http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,57963,58011#msg-57963, which can be closed.
In my opinion the message "changes in the file" is by design in the PsPad Editor, and can't be manipulated using settings in pspad.ini SO I HAVE A FEATURE REQUEST ABOUT BEING ABLE TO ENABLE IT OR DISABLE IT, either by marking such a new feature in settings, or using shortcuts. I don't have the problem on my home computer, but I have it on my work computer, where I see this disturbing messages MANY times each day, while I'm NOT making any changes in the file. The reason is that I'm writing vbScripted "roulout" packages to 3.500 computers in Slagelse Municipality where I work. I write these vbScript packages in the PsPad Editor, and are using the management system from www.capasystems.com to roul it out. The CapaInstaller system (www.capasystems.com/products) is based on around 250 binary compiled vbScript CapaLib libraries, that combined with all other basic vbScript functions, are used by a service on our 3.500 computer, running cscript.exe as local system account. I can restart the service using our CapaLib management console or an icon at the system tray on each computer, where the endusers aren't local administrators, and we have User Account Control enabled. When writing such a package with silent install and uninstall using the PsPad editor, I often need to test it 5-20 times. So I start writing the vbScript, and saves it (#1), then I restarts the service on the remote computer, and each time I do it, I see the message "changes in the file", that still I have open on my work computer, but without changing it. If needed to test again, I re-write the vbScript, and saves it (#2), then I restarts and so on. We are 5 programmers writing these packages at my work, and the last 5 years we have used Notepad++ to write these vbScript packages. But I started a month ago to use your PsPad Editor, and have now written around 2.000 script lines to add extra features to your editor, mostly in VBScript.DEF and in the Script\VBScript subfolder. These 2.000 script lines adds extra features to your editor about using the around 250 compiled CapaLib vbScript libraries, and a lot of other features. I hope I can make www.capasystem.com promote the use of these extra CapaLib features to your editor, and thus also promoting your editor. I'm not finished yet with this work (making it 100% freeware), but I will be in about a month. Today I have only made 1 FAQ website http://www.tryware.dk/English/W7-PsPadEditor-CapaLib/Help/faq.html, where you can read a LOT about ALL my extra CapaLib features to your editor. I will also make a website about 20 minutes video showing how I work with these extra CapaLib features in your editor, and a download website, where I tell people to use your website, if they don't have the CapaLib installed, and that will also be part of my setup.exe to redirect to your website. BUT BUT BUT - This annoying message MANY times each day, are a topic, that I really need to have solved, because it's the only thing right now, that might stop www.CapaSystems.com to promote it worlwide (www.capasystems.com/become-partner/resellers-in-europe) to their customers including your editor. SO PLEASE NOTE A FEATURE REQUEST ABOUT IT!
