Jason,
Unfortunately you are running into one of the few drawbacks to Protel's PCB
tools...the router. I understand that the next release will have the
autorouter functioning properly. I'm holding my breath in anticipation.
The only solution I have is to use Spectra when I fan out large designs.
After setting it properly Spectra will rip thru your design with ease.
