Nevertheless, long odds are that it is the ODBC drivers, given the other
information we have. If so, doing an uninstall/reinstall will be a waste of
time, unless the install overwrites the problem driver -- I don't know, but
I think it might --; in which case whatever caused so much trouble last
time the ODBC drivers were updated will quite possibly rear its ugly head
again.
