David,
I am having trouble picturing 'exactly' what you describe but I
think that Protel is at fault. Often I have tried to resize my whole Protel
window rather then having it maximized. This causes all sorts of weird
issues with scroll bars (or lack thereof) and most definitely with the
status bar. The status bar will completely disappear if I shrink the Protel
window vertically. If I go far enough the Command Status, toolbars, the
Explorer pane and Explorer Window starts to dissapear as well. Typical
Protel crap programming is my take. I find that I can't run Protel in
anything but a fully maximized application window.
