I did this recently with some of our old files. As long as the OrCad
DECOMP.EXE file is in the path and you have library items available this
works easier than loading the files into the latest OrCAD. Just open/import
the into Protel and you're done.

For the libraries I had to load them into the later OrCAD (free/demo
version) and after OrCAD converted them I could load them into Protel so
when I loaded the old schematics they had all the right parts.

If your OrCad files are all in ASCII OrCAD format you can just load them
into Protel.

Hey, Abdul:

Does that eCapture program convert old Orcad SDT-III files up to v9? If
so,
that's exactly what I need. I have a bunch of legacy schematics from ye
olde tyme days of DOS that need to be converted to Protel 99SE. Can you
send me the link to the site where I can download it? Thanks.

Best regards,
