It was probably the 98 schematic tool kit by Aspiring Tech.
It's a neat toolkit but does not have the V divider server (it has a neat
capacitor/resistor parallel/series calculator) also it's for Protel98.
That's one thing I forgot to mention in my earlier post, I was after
something that worked with 99SE SP6.
Thanks anyway,
Tom

I think I saw something like that the other day, can't remember if it was a
server
or a true window app, if I come across it again (I think it came from a
search.go.com
query of '+protel +Server' without the quotes) I'll post it to the group.

Subject: [PDEV] Idea for server / wizard
I have been thinking about this for quite some time but have come to the
conclusion that it is too hard for me to write, so maybe someone out there
would like to give it a try. I'd certainly consider paying for a server that
could do the following:
Voltage Divider
1) Input Supply Voltage
2) Input Desired Voltage at middle node
3) Select E12, 24, 48 or 96 resistor series
4) Output best fit (giving some indication of error) for above as two
resistors in series ready to be placed on a schematic.
I have lost count of how many times I have performed this (mostly iterative)
process and think it would be a valuable time saver.
Possibly the desired magnitude of total current through the resistors (A,
100mA, 10mA, mA, 100microA, 10microA, microA, etc...) could also be entered
to provide the magnitude as well as significant figures of the resultant
resistors (x1, x10, x100, xK, x10K, x100K, xM, etc...).
Possibly if there is no acceptable solution (error within resistor series
tolerance), it could also be expanded to include a third resistor in
parallel with one of the other resistors. This would give about 885x10^3
combinations for the E96 series, however in these days of MFLOP PCs that's
probably not too much to ask. Is it?
Any takers?

Tom L.
