No, you understood. An acute interior angle. The sharpness of the point is
limited by the draw radius. In order to get a relatively sharp point, I
needed to use a very fine draw, at least at the tip.
RS-274-X has ways of achieving sharp polygons; basically, polygons drawn
with Polygon Area Fill are sharp, and they are much more efficient than
stroke fill, to boot.
I'd highly recommend that Protel move away from filled polygons to true
Gerber polygons plus blowouts. The only advantage to stroke-filled polygons
is that the same DRC can be used to check them as is used for any track. So
new DRC routines would need to be written to deal with polygons and
blowouts; but the same problems exist with negative planes; we need more
sophisticated DRC anyway.
