I recently had a number of problems with 99se SP6. They seem to have
accumulated over time with service packs etc. Yesterday I uninstalled all of
protel and did a new install. It fixed lost coordinate display on library
file editing. It also fixed the select hole size function. (Comments here
suggested an "=" to "-" change in holesize.bas which I had tried and it did
not fix. After reinstalling I made the fix again and it worked.) I use
Quarterdeck CleanSweep as an install monitor it makes backups before
uninstalling, a little insurance when the next layout could arrive in the
middle of my exorcism.

Hi Michael
I have no problems with Layer Stackup Legend.
When you place the legend you can press TAB, so you get a check box with
details.

Hi Protel Users,
we have the following problem with P99Se SP6.
on one pc (my pc :-) ) the Protel software has seen all service packs
3,4,5,6 and some pre-releases (incl. the layer stack up analyzer pre
release, that has !! not !! been removed before sp6). all others are new
and have only seen the original protel cd incl. sp2 and were updated
directly to sp6
only on this one pc the layer stack up legend works as it is intended to
do. on all other pc's the only thing we get ist the box, the titel, but
not the pcb details.
we have asked protel support in switzerland, but they didn't helped us
to get rid of that problem.
has anybody else seen that problem ? and solved it ?
we are realy unable to install protel 99se sp6 on any new pc and have
the layer stackup analyser working. all we do and tried does not solve
the problem.
as my pc is getting old and we buy new and faster pc it is time for us
to solve it.
any help is welcome.
