Although, I'd have to agree with you 95% of the time except some users
do not prefer using their real name because of privacy reasons
(although I tend to think that using alias != being cracker and not
necessarily == doing stuffs that are dodgy). Although, as news/history
tend to show us criminals tend to use alias to hide their activities
online.

Wouldn't contacting them in private/off-list be done if any real name
is required for the purpose of delegating tasks, organizing events
etc. albeit adding a little bit of overhead to the project?
