back up ur all packages periodically from /var/cache/apt/archives ..so that
after u reformat ur os then u dont have to download already downloaded
packages... simply move backup files to same location
(/var/cache/apt/archives)  then use symnatic package manager to install
them... it u directly take packages form that location before it search in
internet location ..
