The devastation that this regular after shock and earthquake is terrifying everyone. Noone is able to stay inside their home and are forced to keep awake in the open sky in the rain and chilly nights. So, lets moblize from our own place and assist the local communities, goverment and supporters coming from outside to take up the relief and rehabilitation efforts. In the meantime, being an morely IT community, can we link/re-direct/make/create (if it does not exist) knowledge repository of the relief and rehabilitation efforts going on more of a crowd sourcing effort. Though, we ourself are the victim this time, and we are ourself looking forward for support and relief, but most of us are in better shape in terms of emotional and physical endurance. Lets mobilize and coordinate the collective efforts. International FOSS champions, listing to the mailing list here, please guide us with other ways to make our effort more effective. Since, we are not finding it suitable to host inside a building, but if needed, we can work from our office outside are in Putalisdak or other place as the need may be. Please ping as well. Neekesh/Suraj and other have the keys as well of the office. We will have power-backup, Internet connectivity along with supply of tea/coffee as basic things to make our geeks contribute to the relief and rehabilitation effort for us and our dear Nepalese.
