Sorry, not that I care much about JSON, but can json be used in a way that a program *spawns* fossil and talks to it using json, until it decides it's enough and fossil stops? The little I read about the json implementation in fossil, it sounds to me simply as RPC over http, so requiring a server ready listening at a known address.
