When some arbitrary decision/value such as a minimum length of wiki pages
imposes itself for no rational reason on my workflow, and I'm told by the
maintainer to maintain a separate personal branch rather than this being
changed in the main source, I started leaving my Richard Hipp fan club card at
home. (Which I have carried for several years now)

Then when I come across something which distorts my source code repository and
report it, and am patronized with remarks about my "passion" for the issue, I
become frustrated. My ass is on the line having strongly advocated Fossil in my
enterprise.

I have not intended to be rude to Mr. Hipp, however I acknowledge my
frustration could be better concealed.

I will gladly pay, given I don't have the C ability yet myself, to have this
issue fixed. If anyone is interested in a bounty, please speak up and I'll
articulate what I believe would be the correct behavior in this case.
