Wholeheartedly concur. In just over two years of daily usage I've lost data
exactly once and that was due to having my repo too close to my checkout
and there was an unfortunate typo involving the rm command ...

Another advantage to a single repos directory is if you run something like
the following automatically on startup

$ fossil server --localauth -P 8080 /home/tif/Projects/repos

you will never have to type 'fossil ui' again.
