anyway: not wanting to interrupt the erudite discussion regarding naming
choices ;-), but would it not be good to also mention/explain this option
in the help pages of `sync' and `pull'? I don't know what this option does
precisely but I trust it is not just there to work around the updating
issue (which I understand has been fixed recently)?
