How would you imagine Fossil would support this, which would end up being easier? Tree-based permissions? Now you’re reinventing your OS’s permission system, probably poorly, and certainly redundantly. Clone main repo as private, turn off autosync, and modify push to include a --cherrypick option like merge? How is that simpler?
