My ship script doesn’t care about “greater wholes”. It extracts the same info from Fossil that RCS, CVS, or Subversion would have given with the $Revision$ keyword. And with a sed call, you could even substitute it into the file text. Whatever. Use it or not. I wanted to get the two key fossil commands embedded into that script out into the world anyway. > not once did I demand that anyone make any modifications to fossil.
