Hi Mary, I have checked the locale variable of my system, it's LANG=en_US.UTF-8. So I think this value is correct for Postgresql. I have the same on my CentOS where Fossology is working well (even if the release of Postgresql is only the 8.1 on my CentOS if I don't do mistakes).
Then I am a little busy these next days, I use now CentOS for Fossology, I'm so sorry to don't have enough time to help you to fix this problem on Ubuntu 8.04 now. Best regards, Jonathan 2009/8/14 Laser, Mary <[email protected]> > Hi Jonathan, > I've done some research on your inability to create the fossology database > with SQL_ASCII encoding.
