Nikola's cutoff above was "If all edits shorter than 10 characters are excluded..." - this sounds not unreasonable, since adding three words or more will take you over it. I'm not sure quite how the results were obtained via WikiBlame, but it certainly seems a little more meaningful than just dumping every name which appears in the article history.
