For a fast mockup and relearning of pygtk, I'm impressed. Clever hack!

An easy "double utility!" tweak would be "divide mode" - see 
scrawled-over jpeg attached.

Interactive mode - have the top ask "4*3= ?" with a blank space to type 
the answer, kids can use the sliders to help them find the correct 
answer to give. Maybe save scores as a function of time (15 questions 
beat the clock) which would make an easy measure of progress and 
collaborative competition.

I'll try it with small cousin this weekend - she can add and recently 
started grasping the "repeated addition" thing, but hasn't really 
understood multiplication as a separate idea as far as we can tell. If 
she comes up with feature ideas, we'll see how fast I can remember pygtk.
