OK, now I have built the hardware identical, as far as CAN is concerned, to MIWARE's FOXCOM-II (By the way: thank you guys for publishing the scheamtic diagram).
http://www.imonticelli.com/2/scripts/engine.php?opt=10 Next step I created a firmware image starting from acme's <linux-2.4-default> plain configuration, adding <[X] CAN SJA1000> from <Driver Setting> menu in make menuconfig. Compiled and transferred to the board, such fw correctli creates canbus directory structure under /proc But if I try cat /proc/canbus/0/information I get Seg fault. I think this may be a matter of enabling etrax parallel port in make kernelconfig, but I have tried a countless number of combinations of the various options that either didn't compile or didn't give any result. Can anybody give me some help? Thanks Alberto
