Dear Joan,

the main cause for FoxBoard not powering up every time is from not very
well stabilised power supply.
Onboard the Fox there are two reset supervisor who monitor continuously
the power supply and if it lowers under a certain value (for more than 4
microseconds) the Fox will be held in reset for 140 milliseconds more
than the pulse duration. This guarantees the Fox can operate safely.
Hence a Fox that doesn't start well is normally due to not very well
power supply.

A very good and sabilised +5V power supply is therefore needed for the
Fox to work well. From your words it could be that you are powering the
Fox through long lines. If this is the case (you mention the Fox is
connected through 35 mt of LAN cable) try to filter the +5V near the Fox
with a LC filter to avoid the possible noise gathered from the power
lines during the travel to the Fox.

In general try to power the Fox with another good power supply with
short cables when the problem happens and see if there are differences.

Best regards,

Roberto Asquini
