Yes, I think there are quite a few tasks for which the "IOWarrior" and the
FoxBoard could be the perfect team.

For those who don't know that device, here is a link :

http://www.codemercs.de/E_index.html

to the company who produces it. There is an extensive Datasheet for the device
on the download-pages for the IOWarrior.

Codemercs have always been very helpful in the process of creating a
linux-driver. They provided hardware-samples and a full documentation on the
USB-protocol for the device. They also host an active forum for their
products. (If I sound too enthusiastic: No I'm not on their payroll!)

I would be great if the Kernel-Module for the device could be added to the
Kernel 2.6-branch of the the FoxBoard-SDK.
(There isn't any working code for the IOWarrior on Kernel-Version 2.4. sorry,)
The iowarrior-module is actually part of the standard Linux-Kernel as of
version 2.6.22, but since I don't think the Fox-SDK will be updated to this
or a newer version in the near furture, it would be nice to have the backport
of this driver in the SDK.

I will be happy to send the sources and install-instructions to anybody who is
interested.

A HowTo-Style tutorial for the device already exists. The only thing that
has to be added is a short "IOWarrior on the Foxboard" section. (Mainly
because we don't have "udev" on the FoxBoard).

I will send the current tutorial along with the Kernel-Module-Code to anybody
who is interested.

Eberhard
