[foxboard] How to set the Port A as input or output ?

Hello i want to use the Port A as an output port.
What have i to do so that the port can beuse as an output port.

I want to use the Port A4, A5, A6, A7 as output.
Default setting is only Port A4 as output.

On the shell i just try 
setbits -p A -b 5 -s 1
but it dosent work.

So how can i tell the board on the shell that i want to use the Pin as
output. I can´t find any description what i have to do.
