The MDSCAN block is used only for the Modbus protocol. It is found in the
MD-GW (Cmp-15 HW) and MD-DI (DI-30 HW)

The FDSCAN block is part of the Foreign Device Integrator (FDI; DI-30 HW)
and Foreign Device Gateway (FDG; CmP-15 SW).

Does this help?

        hi all
i'm very confused, when to use MDSCAN block and when to use FDSCAN
block, on
both Integrators 15 & 30 and micro I/A. Could somebody please
clarify this
point to me as i can't find any clear documentation for this.

        Regards
