Kevin,

Our local Service Rep (Beaumont, Texas) has had the memory problem you
alluded to. He has since installed the new prototype CP60's in a new
system installation in the area and has had (so far) good results with
the new prototypes. I understand these prototypes are the new chipset
and are even now in production. Not certain on shipping dates now but
I have a letter from Foxboro on the shipping issue that is below.

     ****************************************** CP60 SHIPMENTS RESUME:

As stated in our previous Service Advisory of January 5, 2001, we wish
to provide you with an update on the CP60 Shipment and design status.
The redesign and correction process to move to a replacement memory
subsystem chip on the CP60 has been successfully completed.

Accordingly, manufacturing has begun production of Revision G CP60
modules. These modules contain the replacement memory component with
     minor design rework.

Also be advised that modules manufactured between week 39 and week 45
are in the process of being swapped out and reworked with the changes
necessitated by the memory subsystem chip replacement. During the
next 1-2 weeks manufacturing will be both manufacturing new Rev G
modules, and reworking the week 39 to week 45 modules which are
     returned to Rev G.

If you have questions surrounding this, contact your local service
representative or the Foxboro Customer Satisfaction Center in Foxboro,
MA, USA at 888-369-2676 (international #508-549-2424).

     Best Regards,

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with upgrading from CP40b's to
CP60's. I am aware of the memory hardware problem, but it is supposed to
     be repaired.
