I don't know Foxboro's official policy (if they have one), but, in my 
experience, they have always been very reasonable on matters of things like 
additional RAM, additional hard drives, etc. coming from a non-Foxboro 
source.  I wouldn't anticipate additional RAM causing any problems, but if 
it does, you can take it out and be right back where you started.
