The answer is simple, but very illusive!!!
while (GetMessage(wmsg, FWindowHandle, 0, 0)) do begin

TranslateMessage(wmsg);
DispatchMessage(wmsg);
end;
If you look at what TranslateMessage actually does it all becomes clear.
