I've let the Apache webserver listen on port 8080 as well. This should hopefully fool proxy servers into believing it's not HTTP, so they pass it through. Could people that had previously problems with HTTP access to SVN on the regular HTTP port, please try http access for SVN with this port, and report on their success ? Just add :8080 to the hostname in the anonymous SubVersion access instructions, and you should be fine.
