There was some similar bugreport from a SUSE user. We devised a fix, and he
afaik managed to build SUSE RPMs. 

So there are three things to be tried
- Use the reference Linux build (the .tgz)
- build yourself, use -XLAtinfo=  to disable linking to libtinfo.
- Try the SUSE rpms
