I packaged a new snapshot of the FPC 2.4.0 sources for my projects, especially the Listaller project (an application installer for Linux). Because the Listaller projects needs newer software versions than available on Ubuntu, my PPA contains a lot of experimental software. If you want to try the packages, I suggest downloading them manually or add the PPA, update FPC and then remove it. The PPA could break your PackageKit if you use Kubuntu. If you don't have those components installed, it is harmless. You can view the PPA information page here: http://launchpad.net/~ximion/+archive/ppa Note: Your Lazarus-Version will be updated too, if it is installed. I could create a PPA for Lazarus/FPC development snapshots, but at time it is a lot of effort. Is another package maintainer here who could assist in building FPC packages? (It is not difficult, but ever package has to be tested carefully, this needs a lot of time) Regards Matthias Klumpp
