A proper email client (instead of Apple Mail) would be a good start... ;-)

Apple Mail doesn't seem to be the only software that doesn't know what to do with this type of encoded data. The problem seem to affect the list processor, too. See http://lists.freepascal.org/lists/fpc-pascal/2013-December/040336.html in the archive for reference.
