Of course, but we can try to explain that twitter and facebook usage are for twitter and facebook and don't necessarily apply elsewhere. Even users made brain dead by twitter and facebook should be able to understand this :-) You don't drive the same way in a city and in a motorway. You don't post the same way using mail or twitter or facebook.
