And it is why I like the concept of open source, different opinions may exist and no one is obliged to impose his own. Only do a fork, respect the rules of the license and do the change you want without be dependent of what the parent of the fork think or do. And even more, if it is done with goodwill, parent and fork can stimulate their self.
