Thanks for the patch. I originally did use gdk-pixbuf but I found that 
imagemagick's trilinear interpolation (or whatever it is that we ended 
up using) resulted in significantly better imaging performance, which is 
certainly needed on this device. The actual numbers are in my notebook 
which is back in the UK though :(
