Anyone have a quick, effective way of creating a short (Heading2 only) table of contents for each chapter in a document?
Our user guide template calls for an short intro para and then a short list of chapter contents on the first page of each chapter. The list is cross referenced to the relevant section. This is used for navigation in both PDF and help output. I have been creating standalone TOCs and then pasting them into each chapter, then adding the cross-references, but it's tedious and updating is a pain. Does Framemaker 8 have anything that would automate this process? Any suggestions would be gratefully received. -- Susan Phillips Technical Writing Group CARIS 115 Waggoners Lane, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, E3B 2L4 Tel: +1.506.458.8533 Fax: +1.506.459.3849 _________________________________________________________________________ Come Make a Spatial Connection at CARIS 2008 September 22 - 26, Bath, United Kingdom Find out how at www.caris.com/caris2008! _________________________________________________________________________ This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended only for the addressee(s).
