I had to add my two-cents.
We had three systems running FM8 on XP SP2. Two had 1 GB of RAM, one had
2 GB.
We had all the updates to Frame 8. We found FM8 would crash several
times a day, and always whenever we used an MS Office app. The most
frequent culprit was trying to open a mail attachment.
Recently, one of us got a new system with a Core2Duo processor and 2 GB
or RAM. No more crashes.
We're currently lobbying for the other two systems to be upgraded.

I haven't run FM 8 (same version, standalone unstructured) very much
since I upgraded, but I will say that I have Outlook open constantly and
haven't seen any FM or Outlook issues. I'm running on Vista, Core2 Duo
2.20 GHz, 3 GB RAM.

Just a datum,
Lea

XP SP2, Pentium 1.5 GHz, 2 GB RAM
Tech Com Suite 1.3, FM 8.0p277

With Outlook and FM open, FM seems to crash for no reason and I often
get very sluggish performance in Outlook. Users around me report no slow
down in their Outlook.

Has anyone else had problems running FM8 concurrently with MS Office or
other programs? Would a faster processor make a significant difference?

Thanks,
Charlie Kyle
