All,
The name of the application for which I am currently developing a manual is a hideous mix of upper and lower case letters and numbers. (Marketing really outdid themselves on this one.) Obviously, it's a PITA to type this creature every time I need to use it , so I set it up as a variable and have been inserting it when needed. Of course, the Special > Variable option requires me to scroll through a list of variables to find the one that I want and that's not that efficient either. Deep in the fuzzy recesses of my mind, I remember something about a nifty little keyboard shortcut to use to insert a variable (compliments of Fred Ridder or John Posada or Richard Combs - one of you FM gurus out there!) I remember something about the list appearing in the bottom tray of the FM window and you used this keyboard command to scroll through the list onscreen and select the one that you want - does this even sound close or right to what I remember? Anyway, if y'all have the answer, it would be much appreciated.
