Hello Ann, Thanks for the suggestion. The issue is that I don't want to copy graphics and text insets, only the Frame files, and this copying is done outside of FrameMaker. Graphics are stored in a central location so those paths don't change. FrameMaker provides functionality to update graphic paths when it can't find the sources, but it doesn't do that for text insets.

If you need to move a copy of your project to another location it will copy graphic, Frame file, and text insets. It also goes through the Frame documents and changes the pointers to the graphics and text inset so that they are found when you open the document(s) in the new location. When moving (copying) files to a new location, text insets are not automatically recoverable like image references.
