Sounds like a great idea. I think it's generally good form for companies and people to declare their affiliations whenever they're talking about any product/service be it in an email, blog post, their website, whatever.
So many do not; and, even when folks post from their work email address, affiliations are not always mentioned by name. (Not like someone whose email address includes @adobe.com. I mean, that's a bit more obvious.) Consultants, especially those who claim neutrality, are the worst offenders, actually. It's very, very rare to see any of them provide a disclaimer that says something like, "We only ever recommend X, Y, and Z products because they give us leads and vendor K won't." "What are your affiliations?" is a fair question for anyone.
