I did something-- I forget what (deleting the *.fm files for the SP plugins in fminit?)-- that made the menus return, but entering the registration data would not stick and would be lost when I closed FrameMaker. If I recall correctly, the fix was to find the various *.fm files belonging to the SP plugins in the fminit folder: AutoText.fm, CHARREG.fm, etc. Right-click on each one and choose File Properties> Security Tab, and then set permissions for Users to allow everything. As I recall, they had read-only permissions set that were the cause of the problem.
